The Challenge
Org & Relo approached Chandler with the goal to minimize follower loss through increased engagement. This goal was met with the challenge of prior poor content quality, and a limited desire to branding additions. Previous content was over exposed in edits, utilizing the same hashtags, and extremely limited in newer social media practices. The brand needed monthly newsletters to be completed as well as updates to their website. The email campaigns had a spam mail feel that needed to be changed to increase interest in the emails again.
My Move
The first move was to find out Org & Relo’s true brand identity, and goals. This changed over time several times creating a difficult journey to end results. Starting with a basic identifier of “modern and colorful” for the grid managed to decrease the loss of followers greatly. This was later changed to “white and neutral” creating a loss from the change. Opening the brand to reels increased engagement drastically as well as profile views. A development of social media guidelines was created to the business’ expectations, additionally on that was the creation of a story template guideline. Creation of these guidelines and templates sets the brand up for future social media goals that will allow the following a good idea of what to expect from the brand online.
The email campaign had been following a same topic monthly guideline creating a loss of subscribers. Differing topics month-to-month were introduced, as well as a 'magazine’ feel to the newsletters. This was created through the addition of a longer letter to subscribers, trending designs the brand enjoys as well as product links.
Finally, the website maintenance was completed in a simplification of the site. This was created through downsizing the reading necessary on site, and removing unnecessary tabs. The business is in organization, so the website should follow suit.
