The Challenge

Bow & Stern is a speculation piece created out of the potential idea from Chandler. The idea arose from the difficulty of finding boat rentals during vacations and the desire to have the freedom of boat rental at your fingertips.

Bow & Stern would be the first service offering of its type. We have seen the popularity of ride-sharing services, causing the trickle down of more brands offering the service. The idea has spread to bikes as well as scooters with the ability to rent by the minute. They pay an initial unlocking fee and are on their way. Now, the companies charging to share vehicles can be sold by the hour or the day. Owners may list their cars and people simply use an app to rent one, rather than dealing with large rental companies and lines. Bow & Stern aims to provide this service for the people within the Mediterranean with boats. People will be able to rent a boat for the day or hour, without spending the thousands of dollars current companies are offering. Much of the joy of the Mediterranean is that of the enjoyment on the sea. With the novel idea of this new service, the need for a marketing plan and brand identity was apparent.

The Move

Bow & Stern needed to be planned out first. A comprehensive marketing plan was the main priority. I created a detailed strategy based on the company’s objectives that utilized SWOT analysis, PEST analysis, and the 4 P’s to analyze the market. Moreover, we established plans for measurement control, implementation, ethical considerations, and Chandler’s personal recommendations on the beginning proceedings. Below I have attached the link to the full plan for your viewing pleasure.
